PSHE education deals with many pressing issues facing children and young people, from their mental health and relationships to careers and staying safe online.

Most of it is now compulsory and of greater focus during Ofsted/ISI inspections. There is also unprecedented enthusiasm for the subject among new teachers, who are keen understand the fundamentals of good practice and demonstrate this understanding to potential employers.
Therefore, as the national body for PSHE education, we see supporting the ITT sector as a priority.

These termly online ITT Provider Network Meetings will:

  • Support understanding of PSHE education, including its importance/value and statutory responsibilities
  • Help to ensure ITE meets all trainees’ needs and expectations regarding teaching PSHE education
  • Provide a supportive networking forum that includes sharing research-informed, effective, PSHE education practice.

We want to make sure as many providers as possible are in the loop so it would be great to have you with us on the day.
