High quality PSHE education can enable learners to identify aspirations for adult life which may or may not include employment and independent living. By evaluating personal strengths, interests, skills and qualities, learners can recognise how these relate to their future career choices and employability.
A Bristol based charity is providing employment opportunities by running a café staffed by young adults with learning disabilities. Young people develop a variety of hospitality skills to work with the public.
