PSHE Association Chief Executive Jonathan Baggaley said:

“The UK Youth Parliament has had a ‘curriculum for life’ as a campaign priority in recent years and this year’s vote suggests a continued and growing demand from young people for comprehensive PSHE education which delivers the knowledge, skills and attributes to stay safe, healthy and to succeed in Iife. The UKYP vote is just the latest sign of growing momentum behind this demand and the PSHE Association will continue to call on the government to make PSHE education statutory in response to such strong support from young people, parents, schools and over 100 leading organisations for this change."
