Statement of intent

A PSHE education policy is your opportunity to set out your agreed approach to PSHE in the curriculum — guiding practice, offering a clear framework for teaching and a ‘toolkit’ for future decision-making.

Our guidance document, updated to reflect the 2025 statutory RSHE requirements, will help you to develop a bespoke policy for your school.

Your policy should inform and reflect practice by outlining the content covered and methodology used to enable learning in PSHE.

Remember, the PSHE policy will be used by teachers, parents and other professionals so use our guidance and make it count!
