What to expect

Our three-hour training courses provide detailed, practical guidance to help your team deliver high-quality PSHE education, including how to implement the new 2025 statutory RSHE requirements. Based on your school or school hub's location, we can deliver this in either an online or face-to-face format.

All PSHE Association training courses are facilitated by one of our Subject Specialists, the leading national specialists in PSHE education. 

These three-hour courses will help you to: 

  • Plan and embed PSHE/RSHE in a way that works best for your pupils, teachers, and school
  • Deepen your understanding of PSHE education pedagogy
  • Explore key principles of safe, effective PSHE teaching
  • Discover practical tips, resources, and guidance
  • Build confidence in teaching PSHE education in the classroom

Open exclusively to schools that are members of the PSHE Association. We offer school staff training from Monday to Thursday. We may sometimes be able to accommodate Friday bookings, please indicate if the date required is a Friday on your booking form.

Course options
  • Want to get up to speed with the new statutory requirements for Relationships, Sex and Health education? This interactive course will explore the new content and expectations for schools, as well as practical ideas and classroom strategies for leading, teaching and assessing high quality, inclusive Relationships, Sex and Health Education for secondary or Relationships and Health Education for primary.

  • This foundation course covers the essentials of PSHE education, including statutory RSHE. It provides an in-depth exploration of the principles of best practice that will enable you to create a safe and supportive environment in the classroom. You will gain tips and tools to help you plan, adapt, and deliver high-quality and engaging lessons. 

     

  •  Ideal for new or aspiring leads, but also for experienced leads looking for fresh ideas and support with leading a team. You will explore what PSHE leadership means and consider how to implement PSHE effectively in light of the new statutory RSHE guidance – from policy to classroom practice. You will also understand how to effectively monitor and evaluate your PSHE provision. 

  • Effective PSHE education, including statutory RSHE, can enable pupils with special needs to access the broader curriculum while helping them to stay safe and prepare for life and work.

    This course will explore the importance of PSHE education for pupils with SEND and strategies for delivery. It will support you to use our Planning Framework to tailor learning for your pupils’ needs, whilst meeting statutory requirements for RSHE.

  • Want to feel prepared and ready for an Ofsted inspection? This course will explore the unique contribution PSHE education makes to the school's evidence for the Personal Development judgement, and how to best gather, present and communicate evidence of pupils’ learning and progress.
