Developed by Gloucestershire Healthy Living and Learning (GHLL) in collaboration with both Aardman animation and Gloucestershire’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, this lesson builds on earlier learning about consent in KS1, to help pupils:

• Understand what is meant by consent
• Understand the importance of gaining, as well as giving, consent
• Know that consent can be withdrawn at any time

The lesson has also been mapped to the relevant sections of the statutory Relationships Education guidance, and features accompanying video animations from Aardman — the world famous, four times Academy Award® winning animation studio and creators of Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Chicken Run and Morph.
