About the course

We’re all aware of the increased risks young people face online, including instant access to graphic, sexualised and often violent material. But how can we explore these topics with young people with authority — without causing embarrassment or nervousness?

Co-designed with Clinical Psychologist Elly Hanson, this self-led, interactive course looks at the research base around teaching pornography. Together, we’ll explore why this learning is important, and how children and young people are affected, and look at best practice in the classroom.

Along the way, you’ll:

  • Develop your understanding of the research into the harms of pornography, and the safeguarding implications.
  • Build your confidence in how to safely and effectively teach about pornography in the classroom.
