Bradford schools granted free access to our full PSHE/RSHE support package

Bradford Council’s Public health team has commissioned the PSHE Association to provide a comprehensive PSHE/RSHE support package to all local state-funded schools.

The support will be free to Bradford schools and includes access to School Plus membership, with benefits such as our library of on-demand training, 500+ sector leading lesson plans, primary and secondary curriculum models and advice from our Subject Specialist team.

The package also includes access for all teachers to our groundbreaking mental wellbeing curriculums: Foundations for Wellbeing (primary) and Wellbeing for Life (secondary) – which take an evidence-based approach to teaching pupils the knowledge, understanding and skills that will support their mental health and wellbeing, now and in the future.

Craig Blundred, Director of Public Health at Bradford Council said,

We recognise the importance of children’s mental wellbeing and we want to support and enable our schools to give every child in the district the opportunity to thrive. We are working with the PSHE Association because there is strong evidence that teaching good quality PSHE lessons leads to better physical and mental health outcomes for children and can help equip them for life and work.

Cllr Sally Birch, Portfolio Holder for Children and Families at Bradford Council added that:

The PSHE Association has an extensive library of resources that educators can use to teach children about things that will improve their health, so I’m delighted that we have been able to commission their School Plus Membership for the new school year.

Including statutory RSHE content.
