Meeting the requirements

All schools in England must have an up-to-date relationships and sex education (RSE) policy.

Our guide will help you draft or update your RSE policy in line with the 2025 statutory relationships education, relationships and sex education and health education (RSHE) requirements.

Our updated guide clearly outlines the requirements for the policy (at both primary and secondary level) including those relating to consulting with parents and the wider community and diversity and inclusion.
