Course description

Do you want help engaging and communicating openly with parents about your PSHE education curriculum? Do you need practical support on responding to parent concerns about PSHE/RSHE? Are you looking for confidence in managing parental requests to withdraw pupils from elements of the curriculum? Then this online course is exactly what you need.

You will also explore schools’ statutory duties, under the new RSHE guidance, to consult with parents and share RSHE materials - gaining tools and strategies that work for you and your parent community.

The best PSHE education is a partnership between parents and schools. This lively, interactive CPD will ensure this partnership is as effective as it can be.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Understand the statutory expectations for engaging with parents about RSHE, including the right to parental withdrawal
  • Explore potential challenges in communicating with parents and develop strategies to promote openness and manage these challenges
  • Get practical strategies for building positive, and transparent relationships with parents in relation to PSHE/RSHE (including guidance and resources to support you)

You will come away with:

  • 3 hours of high quality, interactive training led by members of our Subject Specialist team, the leading national experts in PSHE education
  • Recommended post-course reading to follow up after the session
  • A wealth of useful ideas, resources and materials to effectively engage your parent community in the PSHE curriculum

Payment method: All places are booked per person and all delegates attending will be charged accordingly. We encourage payment by card, however if this is not possible an invoice can be requested when booking. Invoices may also be sent for late bookings.
