Course description
Do you want help engaging and communicating openly with parents about your PSHE education curriculum? Do you need practical support on responding to parent concerns about PSHE/RSHE? Are you looking for confidence in managing parental requests to withdraw pupils from elements of the curriculum? Then this online course is exactly what you need.
You will also explore schools’ statutory duties, under the new RSHE guidance, to consult with parents and share RSHE materials - gaining tools and strategies that work for you and your parent community.

Understand the statutory expectations for engaging with parents about RSHE, including the right to parental withdrawal
Explore potential challenges in communicating with parents and develop strategies to promote openness and manage these challenges
Get practical strategies for building positive, and transparent relationships with parents in relation to PSHE/RSHE (including guidance and resources to support you)
