Audit your current programme against the (new) 2025 RSHE statutory guidance.
The RSHE 2025 curriculum audits (for primary and secondary) will help you to identify the extent to which your current PSHE education programme covers the new 2025 statutory Relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education content.
Whilst the DfE statutory guidance sets out what schools must cover, it does not include everything schools should cover as part of broader PSHE education. The Programme of Study curriculum audits (for KS1-2, KS34 and KS5/Post-16) allow you to assess the extent to which your programme covers — in addition to the statutory content — vital learning on economic wellbeing, careers and enterprise and more.
We have also retained our curriculum audits for the 2020 edition of the RSHE guidance in case helpful as a reference point for any schools who are making the transition to the new 2025 RSHE guidance between now and September 2026.
Both the primary and secondary spreadsheets include separate sheets for each section of the DfE statutory guidance, i.e Relationships Education and Health Education (primary) and RSE and Health Education (secondary).
The columns on each sheet set out the topics and content bullet points from the statutory guidance, with a drop-down column for you to ‘RAG rate’ each bullet point in red, amber or green depending on the extent to which you currently cover that content.
There is also a column for you to identify cross-curricular links with other subjects and a final column for your own notes.
