Free webinar: AI, PSHE and your role [Register now]

It’s 2026, and it feels like AI is everywhere, all at once — including in our classrooms.

This poses unique challenges for PSHE education as we grapple with the various ways it is affecting different aspects of children and young people’s lives.

And from September, teaching about the risks of AI chatbots and deepfakes will be a mandatory part of the RSHE curriculum, so now is a good time to consider how your school will respond to these issues.

To support our members, we’re launching an AI literacy programme for key stage 2 to 4 (Understanding AI: Rights, safety and wellbeing) later in the month. In advance of this, to help set the scene, we’d like to invite you and your colleagues to a free webinar, open to all schools (including non-members).

Taking place online (via Zoom) 4-5pm (BST) on Wednesday 20 May, PSHE Association CEO Jonathan Baggaley will be joined by AI Policy Expert Morgan Briggs to demystify this technology and outline some of the key benefits and risks to children and young people — from the impact on mental health and wellbeing to the dangers of AI companions — while recognising the tensions that exist within a technology that is increasingly finding a home in our classrooms.

Come along to learn more about what you as a teacher need to know, including new statutory RSHE requirements and the role of PSHE in helping young people to stay safe and navigate this fast-moving landscape.

We look forward to seeing you there!
