Course description

Children are increasingly exposed to divisive, but persuasive, influences and influencers online, and as a result harmful narratives can spill into the school playground and threaten community cohesion. This new CPD course will support you to identify such narratives and challenge them though PSHE/RSHE, with resources, guidance and practical advice that can immediately benefit your pupils and school culture.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and understand harmful online narratives, including their sources and how they reach and influence children and young people
  • Understand how to unpack and challenge such narratives with your pupils
  • Learn to counter harmful narratives and division through your PSHE education curriculum (including guidance and resources to support you in this)
  • Get practical advice on managing conflict in your school that’s linked to problematic online narratives.
