Tools and resources to help you plan your 2021/22 curriculum

We have range of planning and audit tools available to support you in planning for next year. And remember, our Programme Builders are updated each half term with new links to relevant resources so make sure you’re using the latest version(s).Subject Review Tool, Framework & Development Plan

Evaluate your school’s PSHE education (including readiness to meet statutory RSHE requirements), identify areas for development and plan your next steps with our Subject Review suite. These materials provide support for everything from engaging with parents on Relationships education/RSE policy development, to ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Updated assessment guides (now including ‘I can’ statements)

Our Guides to Assessment in PSHE education for key stages 1-4 now include ‘I can’ statements to support assessment of pupil progress and attainment. The statements have been developed from the Programme of Study for PSHE education, and provide a model against which to assess progress. Health Education: food choices, physical activity & balanced lifestyles mapping guidance

We are excited about launching a suite of KS1-4 Health Education lesson plans, slides, resources and teacher guidance for Association members in September covering food choices, physical activity & balanced lifestyles. In the meantime, our new mapping guidance will give you an overview of what the materials cover and allow you to plan this content into your schemes of work for the new school year.

Autumn term highlights

• Lower KS3 FGM lesson and guidance. Our new ‘Keeping safe’ lesson on FGM, seeking help and reporting FGM concerns will build on our upper KS2 lesson, and help you to explore this important issue with students in a sensitive and age-appropriate way.
• Change, loss & grief lesson plans and guidance (KS1-4). Help pupils to recognise: how change, loss (including bereavement) and grief affect people; the different responses people can have when grieving; and strategies to help manage grief as well as support services available. These new materials will feature as part of our suite of mental health and emotional wellbeing guidance and lessons, with PowerPoint versions of the lessons available to members.
• ‘Twilight’ and standard length CPD. We've recently published new course topics and dates for September - December 2021, to prepare you for statutory changes, planning, subject leadership and much more. See upcoming dates and book your place.
