Are you a qualified secondary school teacher with a passion for PSHE education? Would you like to write lesson plans that every school in the country could use? Or run teacher workshops to improve PSHE education for thousands of pupils?
PSHE education has a higher profile than ever in secondary schools now that RSE and Health Education are statutory at key stages 3 and 4. There is also growing recognition of the subject’s role in keeping young people safe, healthy and prepared for life and work. We’re building our team to support schools to make the most of this opportunity.
We want to recruit a dynamic, talented secondary teacher (or former teacher) to join our team of Subject Specialists, working to support our rapidly growing community of members across the country. This is an opportunity for those with a teaching background and a passion for PSHE education, who are excited by: supporting teachers and schools; writing engaging classroom resources; and providing high quality training, advice and guidance.
We welcome applications from:
- practising and former secondary teachers with a background in leadership and management of PSHE education
- or those with some experience of teaching secondary PSHE alongside skills in writing and designing teaching materials and/or training
We are an equal opportunities employer: we actively encourage people with various backgrounds and skills to join us and positively impact our team and working practice. We are particularly keen to receive applications from people of colour and disabled people, who are currently underrepresented in our team.
This is an opportunity for a qualified teacher with PSHE experience, a commitment to the subject and a keen interest in developing their skills on a national level. It is a permanent contract following the successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
Although offered as either full or part-time, we would ask for a minimum of three days per week if part-time (see terms and conditions in the full job description and person specification – link below).
Please apply by 9am on Monday 18th October 2021.
