It’s been one year since we launched School Plus — our trailblazing membership package that gives you access to our growing library of on-demand training and exclusive live events.
And we want to thank all of you who have come on this journey with us. We have achieved so much together in our first year!
Back when we first had the idea for School Plus, we knew we wanted to improve access to our high-quality PSHE education CPD and overcome increasingly limited budgets and time constraints.
And with new and complex topics on the horizon, from AI literacy and deepfakes to sexual ethics and the influence of pornography, it was the ideal time to revisit our membership and training offer for teachers and schools.
School Plus came out of our conversations with teachers and schools up and down the country, so we were delighted when so many of you decided to join us.
We now have over 500 schools who are part of the School Plus community, which means more than 5,000 teachers have already used our on-demand platform.
To everyone who’s enrolled, completed, or assigned courses on School Plus in our first year, thank you for investing in yourself, your staff, and in your pupils’ experience of PSHE.
And thank you for choosing the PSHE Association. As a charity and the national body for PSHE education and RSHE, our mission is to help children and young people stay safe, healthy and ready for life’s challenges and opportunities.
Members like you make this work possible and allow us to keep building on the support we can offer teachers and schools.
We have launched 41 courses for School Plus in our first year alone — covering everything from play-based learning at primary school, to complex topics like sexual health and pornography in secondary.
We’ve guided you through good practice in lesson planning, adapting learning for pupils with SEND, and responding to disclosures.
And we have so much more planned!
We are currently developing new courses to support all PSHE teachers with the subject knowledge they need to deliver some of the core new components of the RSHE statutory guidance, including:
We’ve loved every minute of learning together, meeting you on our first live School Plus webinars, seeing you grow in confidence as you progress through the courses, and hearing your feedback.
Our courses have achieved a 90% good or very good rating, and you’ve told us that:
